SGF URGES MDAs TO ADHERE STRICTLY TO FEDERAL CHARACTER PRINCIPLES                                                        15-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                         The Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume has urged the Federal government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs to adhered strictly to the Federal Character Principles for fairness and equity in the distribution of nation’s resources.
At a Sensitization Workshop for North West Geo-political Zone organized by the Federal Character Commission FCC, in Abuja, Senator Akume, emphasized that adherence to the principle of Federal Character Commission by the MDAs was key in strengthening the unity of the Country.
The SGF who was represented by the Commissioner representing Kebbi State in the Federal Character Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bunu, said the mandate of the commission was to give every section of the country a sense of belonging.
The Chairman of the workshop, the Commissioner representing Sokoto State in the Commission, Alhaji Abdullahi Tafida, explained that the workshop was to sensitize MDAs on accurate data representation of Nigerians in their organizations.
In a paper presentation, Mr. David Fakeye, said to achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, the MDAs must ensure fairness and equity in all their dealings.
Participants at the workshop in their separate remarks said they are now more enlightened about the principles of Federal Character which they will continue to advocate for and support in their various organizations.
