TROOPS RECORD SUCCESS IN CLEARANCE OPERATION, RECOVER WEAPONS IN KADUNA                                                                                     15-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Nigerian Army troops of 1 Division Kaduna, acting on credible intelligence, laid ambush on bandits arms and ammunition supplier at Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas, along Kwant-Kabai-Kabusu on the 14th of this month.

This is contained in a statement issued to Africa 247 by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations 1 Division, Lt Colonel Musa Yahaya in Kaduna.

The statement explains that during the operation and the fire fight that ensued when contact was made, one bandit was neutralised, while others fled in disarray with gunshot wounds due to troops’ overwhelming fire power.

In the process of the encounter, one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, veterinary medicine and clothing were recovered.

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division and Force Commander, Operation Whirl Punch, Major General Valentine Okoro has again commended the troops for their resilience and implored the locals to continue availing the Army and other security agencies with timely and credible intelligence.
