DEFENCE INDUSTRY CORPORATION OF NIGERIA TO COMMENCES PRODUCTION SOON- MATTAWALE                                                                                         21-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     Federal Government says, the Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria – DICON, Kaduna will soon commence productions of military equipments and hard wares.

The State Minister of Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Maradun local government area of Zamfara State.

He said that, the industry would under go total transformation to meet international standard as President Bola Tinubu has just signed a bill to that effect.

Matawalle further explain that, when fully operational as directed by President, it would manufacture all the military needed in terms of weaponry and hardware to fight all forms of criminality in the country.

He added that, he has inspected all the military equipments provided by the Federal Government to security personnel most especially the Army across the country and assured that, the issue of banditry will soon be thing of the past.

According to him, he has visited Turkey to inspect some of the military equipment ordered from there to sustain the fight against banditry and criminality in the country which some has already arrived Nigeria.

The Minister also explain that, the present administration is determined to provide all the needs of the military in all the areas that would make their job easier and successful.

Matawalle said very soon the defense headquarters would under take tour of all the theater commands in the country with a view of assessing their needs and requirements for effective operation and service delivery.

He appeal to the security agencies to reciprocate the government gesture by strategies more efforts toward ending the menace of all forms of criminalities and appeal to the general public to assist them with useful and timely information.
