COMMANDANT GENERAL NSCDC ORDERS FOR DISCRETE INVESTIGATION OF MISSING TOWER IN NIGER                                                                       23-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Commandant General Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi has directed for discrete investigation into the missing tower in Niger state belonging to a media organisation with a view to bring the culprits to justice.

This is contained in a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna by the Public Relations Officer Niger state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp DSC Nasir Abdullahi.

According to him the tower in question was at a particular location at Maikujeri in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger state when a scavenger Bello Mustapha approach two of their personnel one attached to Niger state command and the other with Kaduna state with forged document to give him a cover to evacuate the items.

The command is shocked to hear over the media that the tower was confiscated by men of the command and the Niger state Commandant Dr Elijah Etim Willie sold it out in Lagos state which they described as misleading and untrue.

As a responsible organisation established by an act saddled with responsibility of protecting National critical assets and infrastructure Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp will not under any reason engage in such scandalous affairs under whatever guise.

It however said both the National headquarters of NSCDC and that of Niger state command were on top of the situation and are presently on the trial of the culprits including officers involved to face long arm of justice.

The statement further explained that Commandant of the Corps in charge of Niger state Dr Elijah Etim Willie has vowed not to allow the matter to be swept under the carpet without bringing those involve to book.

While calling on Journalists to always cross check their facts to assertain the genuineness of their stories also advised people of the state to remain calm and orderly as very soon truth of the matter will be unraveled.
