OLUKOYEDE VOWS TO REFOCUS EFCC’s ANTI-CORRUPTION FIGHT                                                                            02-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    The Executive Chairman, of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has pledged to refocus the anti-corruption war by adopting modalities capable of stimulating economic growth and development of the nation.

The Chairman made the promise while addressing staff of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC at the Commission’s Office, GRA, Ilorin,the Kwara state capital.

According to him his administration would ensure a paradigm shift in the agency’s approach to anti-graft war to make it more proactive and result oriented.

Mr Olukoyede said there is the need to redefined the scope and mandate of the agency with a view to stimulate the economy of the country.

He said the commission must be able to separate proceeds of crime from legitimate funds.

The EFCC boss urged the management of the agency to use the instrumentality of their mandate to create wealth and jobs for the people.

He also assured his determination to prioritize staff welfare.

Mr Olukoyede urged officers of the Commission to be above board and avoid acts of compromise in the line of duty.
