KANO HISBAH APPREHENDS TWO SUSPECTS FOR SELLING MEAT FROM DEAD ANIMALS                                                                                                 05-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    The Kano state hisbah board has apprehended two men, suspected of selling roasted meat from dead animals at a refuse dumping site, Maiduguri road, Tarauni local government area.

The suspects Aminu Bala and Isiyaku Musa, were arrested after tip off by good Samaritan’s that, they move from one refuse dumping site to the other, to collate dead animals.

Speaking to Africa 247, Aminu and Isiyaku explained that, after retrieving the dead animals they cook and convey to Sabon gari for onward distribution to unsuspecting customers.

They pleaded for leniency and promised not to engage in such acts.

In his remarks the hisbah commander Tarauni local government area, Malam Nasir Adam pointed out that, Islam and Christianity forbids eating dead animals.

He stressed that, the suspects were arrested with dead chickens, ram head, birds, cow leg and cooked meat.

The commander advised Kano residents, to hand over dead animals to Kano zoological garden for destruction, as eating dead animals leads to illness.

Malam Nasir hinted that, the suspects would be handed over to the court for necessary action.

Africa 247 reports that, the Kano hisbah board is saddled with responsibilities of promoting good and forbidding bad behaviors.
