VANDALS SET PEOPLE INTO CONFUSION AT KWARA HOTEL, ILORIN                                                                                     07-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     It was a rowdy session today afternoon at Kwara Hotel, Ilorin as people were seen bringing out items out of the hotel premises.

In what appears to be vandalism of the property, the people removed the burglary barricade to make way for the items they were carrying out of the fence while some people were seen throwing out items over the burglarized fence.

Our correspondent who witnessed the scenario captured videos showing men and women involved in the activity while passersby watched on.

Our correspondent reports that people were seen carting away household items including toilet seats, doors, cables, wires, chairs, electric and electronic appliances.

Security men who could not contain the crowd tried to disperse the crowd by firing tear gas, that however, did not curb their resolve to make away with anything in sight.

Those who spoke with our correspondent said the property had been leased out to a private owner.

While some respondents said that the items were being sold to members of the public.

All effort to speak with the management of the Kwara Hotel proved abortive as there was no one on ground to speak on the development as at the time of filing in this report.
