Late Sarah Maikefi according to her cousin Miss Patience Maikefi who is also a student of the Nasarawa State University Keffi explained that the deceased called her on phone after completing her semester examinations in the afternoon last Friday and told her that she was tired of everything and could not bear it any longer.

She stated that when the deceased ended the call abruptly, she called back immediately several times.but she could not answer until her roommate called her to come over and meet them at the school clinic.

Miss Patience Maikefi who spoke amidst tears stated that on reaching the university clinic, she discovered that her cousin was already dead after taking a poisonous substance suspected to be sniper.

A close friend of the deceased who pleaded that his name should not be disclosed, said the late Miss Sarah Maikefi had earlier called to tell him that she had completed her last semester examinations and needed to take a little rest before going to Akwanga

He added that she had been going through depression following alleged betrayal by her friends as according to him, she had contemplated suicide on many occasions.

“Sarah was an easy going lady. I have known her for over three years as a friend. She used to confide in me on how her friends whom she trusted so much turned against her. The last one that led her to suicide was the worst for her. I feel pained that Sarah ended this way,” he said.
