PRESIDENT TINUBU ARRIVES MAIDUGURI FOR COAS ANNUAL CONFERENCE 11-12-23
By Sadiq Aminu President Bola Tinubu has arrived Maiduguri, the Borno state capital for a one-day visit.
The President is in the state for the week-long Chief of Army Staff annual Conference.
This is the first time President Bola Tinubu is visiting any state in the North East region since his swearing-in in May this year.
The Presidential aircraft touched down at the Nigeria Airforce base at 11: 50am where he will proceed to Shehu of Borno’s palace to pay the traditional homage to Shehu , Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi.
He is expected to inaugurate mass transit vehicles purchased by the Borno state government to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
From the Palace, he will then proceed to Maimalari Cantonment venue of the Ceremony.
The COAS Conference will feature address to troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, inspection of ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Maiduguri and laying of the foundation stone of Headquarters 7 Division by the Special Guest of Honour.
The week-long conference is an important annual event in the calendar of the Nigerian Army due to its significance to National security, peace, and stability.
The theme of the 2023 conference is Personnel Motivation for Effective Operational Performance in a Joint Environment.
