SOKOTO STATE ASSEMBLY ASCENTS 2024 BUDGET OF TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY BILLION NAIRA                                                                               21-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                         The Sokoto State House of Assembly has ascent the 2024 budget of more than two hundred and seventy billion naira presented by the executive arm of the state.

The budget was approved after the report of the State House Committee on Finance and Appropriation in the state.

The House Committee chairman on Finance and Appropriation ,Alhaji Abdullahi Zakari from Rabah said the Bill submitted by Gov. Ahmed Aliyu, was passed unchanged after careful deliberation by the house.

Abdullahi zakari said seven point eight billion was for recurrent expenditure while one hundred and seventy two point two billion naira for capital expenditure.

The Speaker Alhaji Tukur Bala said the house considered a genuine requests by the Sub-Committees which made the House reallocated resources to accommodate essential demands and interests of the people in the state.
