NSCDC ZAMFARA INTERCEPTS TWO TRUCKS LOADS WITH RUSTLED COWS 01-02-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command has intercepted two truck loaded with cows suspected to be rustled by miscreants from Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
Briefing news men at the Command’s Headquarters in Gusau, the Commandant of the Corps, Sani Mustapha averred that, in his resilient efforts to purge the state of all forms of criminality, the Corps has intercepted two truck loads of cows numbering 24 and 1 sheep on their way from Tsafe local government Area to Gusau metropolis.
The security consummate opined that, the suspects who wanted to smuggle the cows to Gusau at night cover decided to off load the cows at Damba Area, a suburb of Gusau.
Commandant Sani Mustapha said, the Corps confronted the suspects and on sighting the officers they took to their heels, adding that, the cows were conveyed in two canter trucks with plate numbers TSF 329 SA Zamfara and AG 160 BW Abuja respectively.
According the Commandant, the Cows has been handed over to the Ministry for Security and Home affairs for legal submission to their original owners. .
The State NSCDC Boss, however warned all criminal elements to desist from any act that contravenes the administrative policies of the state and federal government in the fight against insecurity in the state.
You may recall that the State Government had banned the sale of cows in some Local Government Areas including Tsafe Local Government Area where these cows were suspected to have been conveyed from.
