AIR CHIEF COMMENDS COMMANDERS FOR SUSTAINED MOMENTUM AGAINST TERRORISTS                                                                                                         14-01-24

By  Sadiq Aminu                                                     Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar says there is no better way to pay tribute to fallen heroes who have paid the supreme price in the defence of Nigeria than to sustain joint operations against criminal elements in the country.

In a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the Air Chief stated this while commending Air Component Commanders of the various joint theatres of operation in the country for the series of successful air strikes undertaken since the beginning of this year, just as the nation prepares to celebrate the Armed Forces and Rememberance day celebration.

Worthy of note, was an air interdiction strikes by the air component of operation hadin kai at Tumbunma Baba near lake chad on the 13th of January, which proved successful as several terrorists were eliminated, with their vehicles and structures destroyed.

The statement notes that while the entire nation can never repay the fallen heroes, efforts at restoring peace and tranquility must be sustained to return the country to its peaceful past, which was made possible by the dedication and commitment of the fallen heroes.

It also appeal to Nigerians, to continue to offer gratitude, goodwill, solidarity and unrelenting prayers to the fallen heroes and their families.

According to the statement, in doing so, the entire nation will not only be according the great patriots the honour and credit they truly deserve, but also re-assuring those still in service that the country would never forget their sacrifices nor forsake them in their hours of needs.
