JIRS MOVES TO REVIVE JOINT REVENUE COMMITTEE                                                                                                           18-1-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Jigawa state Internal Revenue Service JIRS has organised a one day meeting with state and local government revenue stakeholders for better tax collection services in the state.

The meeting was headed by the chairman, Jigawa state Internal Revenue Service Alhaji Nasir Sabo Idris, held on at manpower development institute Dutse.

He explained that, the aim of reviving the committee is not just to increase the tax payment, but also to improve more harmony among the state and local government revenue collectors.

According to him, the importance of the committee can not be over emphasized as it will help each other and reduce interference between state and local government revenue activities.

Alhaji Nasir Sabo further explained that, the committee comprised members from state revenue services, 27 local government revenue officers, ministry of commerce, ministry of land, vehicles Inspection office VIO, ministry of finance among others.

He therefore commended the participants and urged them to collaborate for better revenue services in Jigawa state.
