SHUN POLITICAL VIOLENCE , EMBRACE PEACE -EMIR OF GAYA URGES PUBLIC                                                         22-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Emir of Gaya Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya has call on politicians and the general populace to shun Political Violence and Embrace peace.

Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya disclosed this when he received the commissioner of police Kano command CP Mohammad Hussein Gumel alongside his management team who paid a courtesy call on the Emir at Gaya local government area of Kano State.

He said the emirate would not tolerate any form of political thuggery, or violence.

Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya therefore warned all village heads and ward heads to preach for peace, stressing that the ward heads would be held responsible for any political violence that occured within their jurisdiction.

He advice politicians to always shun politics of hatred and violence, rather they should embrace peace and loving one another .

Earlier the commissioner of police Mohammad Hussein Gumel said they were at Gaya Emirate to seek for Royal blessings and advice, and to dialogue on the recent violence that occured between supporters of the two major Political parties NNPC and APC.

He said after the announcement of the supreme Court Judgment on Kano Gubernatorial Election, Clash erupted between the supporters of the two Political parties while celebrating victory in Kademi village of Gaya local government area which left many hospitalized .

CP Mohammad Hussein Gumel said they are in Gaya to have a roundtable meeting with the members of the two parties with a view to have a lasting solution to the problem.

During the roundtable meeting issues were deliberated between supporters of NNPP and APC and other stakeholders and suitable solutions were fine tuned with a view to address the challenge.
