KWARA STATE POLICE FOILS ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ KIDNAP OF UNILORIN STUDENT                                                                                        28-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Kwara state police command says it has foiled an attempted robbery and kidnap of one Moyosore Bright a 100 level student of Zoology Department , University of Ilorin within the school premises.

In a statement the Police Public Relations Officer,Ejire-Adeyemi Toun said on January, 27th this year the Divisional Police Office in charge of Tanke received an information that the student was abducted .

According the statement preliminary Investigation revealed that on 26th January, 2024 at about two o’clock in the afternoon the female student (named Moyosore Bright) of Zoology Department, University of Ilorin boarded a mini bus at the school terminus on main campus with the intent of heading to her hostel at Tanke.

The statement said the student suddenly regained consciousness in the bush at about seven o’clock in the evening of same day several kilometers away from Ilorin metropolis.

The statement explained that there was no mark of violence on her while her mobile handset was intact.

The statement noted that some of the students personal effects which included, golden chain, Automated Teller Machine Cards,and the sum of three thousand naira were stolen.

The statement said Investigation is ongoing to track down the culprits who perpetrated the act.
