By Sadiq Aminu                                                   The immediate past governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, was on Monday invited for questioning by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ilorin, Kwara state.

Africa 247 gathered that the former governor arrived the zonal office of the EFCC at about 9:00 am and was interrogated till evening.

Sources in the antigraft office, Ilorin confirmed the development, but did not give reasons for the former governor’s current invitation.

Speaking on the development, former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Alhaji Ahmed, Wahab Oba, said that the former governor’s visit to the EFCC is procedural and routine.

According to him the former governor was invited and he honoured them as he always do.
