By Sadiq Aminu On February 29, 2024, the Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) executed a bold rescue mission, saving two kidnapping victims and eliminating a bandit in Zamfara State.
Lieutenant Omale Suleiman, the information officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, said the operation was conducted by the courageous efforts of the troops at the forward operating Base (FOB) OPHD Dan-Marke.

“Simultaneously, OPHD troops responded to a distress call in Unguwar Sarkin Musulmi village, rescuing a driver and passenger, and securing the area. In another operation in Katsina State’s Batsari general area, OPHD troops engaged bandits, neutralizing two and recovering an operational motorcycle, prompting others to flee into the forest.” He added
According to him, Major General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division, commended the troops’ gallant performance, urging them to sustain the momentum until peace is fully restored in the Northwest.
