KDSG ASSURES SAFE RETURN OF THE STUDENTS KIDNAPPED IN KURIGA IN CHIKUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA 07-03-24
By Sadiq Aminu The State Governor, Malam Uba Sani gave the assurance while addressing parents of the abducted students when he visited Kuriga village along other government officials.
Governor Uba Sani explained that government is yet to ascertain the number of the students kidnapped, he however assured the parents that the state government would do it best to ensure safe returns of all the students.
According to him, before his coming to Kuriga, he spoke with the National Security Adviser NSA Malam Nuhu Ribadu and they are making efforts while the security forces have swung into action
“We will do whatever we need to do to ensure safe return of these children, even if it means coming to Kuriga to stay with you. The essence of government is protection of citizens lives and property. We recognize the fact that, we are holding this position in truant for the people and by God’s grace, we will protect the citizens’ rights.
According to him, they would select seven people from this community, who will be part of a committee, where we would be having discussions.
While addressing the community members, Governor Sani also promised to establish a Police Station and build a permanent camp for the military in the community.
The community members who trooped out to receive the Governor at the Village Head’s palace applauded Governor Sani for personally coming down to Kuriga to identify with them during the trying moment.
