NGSG RENAMES DR ABUBAKAR IMAM KAGARA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MINNA AFTER PRESIDENT TINUBU                                                              10-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The DR Abubakar Imam Kagara International Airport Minna, has been renamed after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Niger state government.

State Commissioner of Information and Strategy Hajiya Binta Mamman announced this while addressing Newsmen on the state of preparedness by the Niger state government to receive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a one day official visit to the state tomorrow.

Hajiya Binta Mamman explained that the gesture is in recognition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu immense contributions and sacrifices to the development of Nigeria and Africa which she said was done in good faith and with the best of intentions.

According to her though the Airport has been named and gazetted after DR Abubakar Imam Kagara by the National Assembly it will now undergo some modifications and ammendments to be regazetted towards achieveing the set target.

Hajiya Binta Mamman however recalled that already the Niger state Polytechnic Zungeru has since been named after DR Abubakar Imam Kagara in recognition of his contributions to the society.
