DEMISE OF OLUBADAN, OBA LEKAN BALOGUN IS A GREAT LOSS TO IBADAN LAND AND OYO STATE                                                                                     15-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    The President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Alhaji Sulaiman Adewole stated this when he led some of his excutives on a condolence visit to the Family of the deceased.

Alhaji Adewole emphasized that late Olubadan’s reign though short was impactful, progressive and recorded tremendous achievement.

He said his reign also witnessed peace and tranquility in Ibadan land.

The Mogaji of Labo Compound, Oke Labo Ibadan, professor Abiodun Bolagade said he received the news of the demise of Olubadan with shock.

Professor Bolagade who extolled the achievements of the deceased to include the elevation of Baale to Obas, described him as a worthy leader who ensured security of lives and property of residents..
