ANSAR-UD-DEEN ADVOCATES ATTITUDINAL CHANGE, VALUE REORIENTATION 16-03-24
By Sadiq Aminu Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria has emphasised the need for Nigerians to exhibit the right attitude with a view to raise the moral tone of the country.
The Chairman of Ansar-ud-deen Northern States Council of Missioners, Sheikh Muhydeen Bello, made the call in Abuja at the 29th Annual Ramadan lecture and Special prayer for the nation organised by the society.
The theme of the annual lecture was ,” Ramadan: the inspirational month to seek Allah’s Protection over the security challenges in Nigeria.”
Sheikh Bello, who was the guest lecturer at the occasion noted that once Nigerians exhibit the fear of Allah and the right attitude most of the challenges bedeviling the country would be a thing of the past.
According to the Cleric Nigeria is blessed with abandoned human and natural resources but the country has failed to achieve greatness due to corruption and mismanagement.
He further urged all Muslims faithful to inculcate right values in children, including deep fear of God, respect for constituted authority and living a purposeful life through continuous education.
Earlier, the former Nigeria’s Chief of Army staff, retired Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, said the theme of the lecture was very apt, adding that it reflects the situation of the country.
According to him, there is no better way to tackling insecurity that is beyond prayers.
Retired General Dambazau, expressed optimism that with prayers all the challenges confronting the country would be a thing of the past.
In his welcome address, the host who is also the Abuja Branch Chairman of Ansar-ud-deen, Alhaji Mohammed Olayiwola, appealed to Nigerians to join President Bola Tinubu in his efforts to take Nigeria to greater heights.
According to him, our prayers, good words and constructive criticism is required to move the country to its desire level.
Dignitaries present at the event to include, Director General federal Radio corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Dr. Muhammed Bulama, Director protocol to the president, Alhaji Isa Ninola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, A former member house of representatives, Mr. Shinna Peller, the Chief Imam Ansarudeen jummuat Mosque Wuse 2 Abuja, Associate professor Musa olaofe, among others.
