NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,700 OFFICERS AND MEN FOR A HITCH FREE EASTER IN NIGER STATE                                                                                                                28-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Niger state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC says it has deployed one thousand seven hundred officers and men to provide a water _ tied security for a hitch free Easter celebrations in the state.

Commandant, Mr Okafor Joachin stated this in a statement signed and issued to Newsmen by Public Relations Officer of the Corps, DSC Mohammed Rabiu Muti in Minna.

Mr Okafor Jaochin however directed officers and men of the Corps to redouble efforts in safeguarding lives and properties through effective surveillance activities and foot vehicular patrols across the twenty five Local Government Areas to forestall any breach of peace.

According to him the one thousand five hundred personnel would be deployed to monitor all strategic areas in the state such as Churches ,Motor Parks, Recreational centres and all the Critical National Assets and Government Infrastructure in Niger state.

Commandant Okafor Jaochin also called on Nigerlites to report any suspicious activities to the Corps or other sister security agencies in the state for necessary action.

He further directed all the Area Commanders, Divisional officers and all Operational Commanders to ensure the safety of  members of the public during, and after the celebrations.
