TAMBUWAL REMINDS POLITICAL LEADERS ON PATRIOTISM 29-03-24
By Sadiq Aminu Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has called on political leaders in the country to be more patriotic by laying off partisan politicking for socio-security and economic development of the country .
Tambuwal, who is also the former governor of Sokoto state made the remarks while flagging off distribution of thirty thousand bags of grains as Ramadan assistance to thousands of people in the state.
Tambuwal said all hands must be on deck towards the establishment of long lasting peace and security of our country stressing that leaders must embrace the realities and rally support for Nigeria ‘s greatness, and argued that Nigerian challenges are surmountable.
He regretted that Nigeria is shackled with problems ranging from economic instability, banditry to poverty that is threatening the unity and prosperity of the country.
He appealed to both Christians and Muslims to exhibit the spirit of tolerance, sacrifice, prayer and forgiveness.
Speaking earlier, the state PDP chairman, Hon. Bello Aliyu Goronyo said the gesture was aimed at relieving households of the current hardship in demonstration of the party’s spirit of empathy and kindness.
According to the chairman, other political parties in the country lacked the spirit of empathy for the rising level of hardship occasioned by poverty, hunger and insecurity.
