PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT TO SPONSOR FIVE HUNDRED MUSLIM FAITHFULS FOR HAJJ                                                                                        04-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Five hundred intending Muslim Faithful are to be sponsored by the Plateau State Government to perform this year’s pilgrimage.

This was made known by the State Chairman of Ja’amatu Nasril Islam, JNI and Emir of Wase, HRH Mohammed Sambo III at an event organised by the Governor to mark the Breaking of the Ramadan Fast, held at the Banquet Hall, Little Rayfield, Jos.

The month of Ramadan is a period when Muslim Faithfuls embark on arms giving, sober reflections, prayers and abstinence from all forms of ills as commanded by Prophet Muhammad.

Embarking on the holy pilgrimage to Mecca in fulfilment of the Islamic injections is another cardinal obligation to be performed during the Ramadan

The Chairman of the Ja’amatu Nasril Islam, JNI and Emir of Wase, HRH Mohammed Sambo III while addressing the faithfuls at the Breaking of the fast, applauded the Governor for fulfilling his promises in regards to the sojourn to the holy city.

He enjoined all Muslim resident in Plateau to ensure they rally and support the present administration in its drive towards repositioning the state.

On his part, Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed willingness and determination to run an all inclusive Government.

He however urged them to desist from all acts of romour mongering and to embrace peace and support Government policies.

The Ramadan breaking of fast was attended by a large crowd of Muslim faithfuls drawn from the three Senatorial Zones of the state, including the Emirs of Burgo, Niger state, that of Keffi, and their counterpart from Uke all in Nasarawa State.
