POLICE PARADE OVER FORTY SUSPECTS IN PLATEAU STATE                                                                                                04-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                           Forty four suspects have been paradred by the Plateau state police command for allegedly commiting various offences ranging from Rape, kidnapping, gun running armed robbery.

Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Hassan Yabanet, attributed the successes recorded by the Police in the state to timely information from the people.

The police Commissioner disclosed that one of the suspects was arrested for allegedly raping a nine year old girl to death last month and confessed to the commission of the crime

Three suspected kidnappers who abducted their victim and received the sum of ten million naira as ransom were also paraded by the police.

Among those also paraded was an escapee of 2021Jos jail break who was arrested in Bokkos local government area for alleged gun running.

A fake soldier was also paraded after being arrested for scamming his victim of the sum of one hundred and ten thousand naira to secure a job for him.

One of the suspect explained that he was arrested for threatening a man who purchased the land he was carrying his stone crushing job and was left without another means of livelihood.

The Police stated that it recovered several firearms, while about three kidnapped victims were rescued unhurt with efforts on to arrest the perpetrators.
