REAR ADMIRAL IGNATIUS ABARA CALLS FOR STRONGER COLLABORATION WITH ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT                                                                                 05-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral Ignatius Albara, has called for stronger collaboration with Abia State Government in the area of security to consolidate the existing peace in the state .

Rear Admiral Albara made the call when he led a delegation of the Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Training Command, Lagos, to Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.

The Naval delegation was on a familiarization tour of the Nigeria Navy College of Accounting and Finance, Owerrinta and decided to visit the Governor.

Rear Admiral Albara commended the Governor for his giant strides in the state and the numerous support given to the college to make their work easy.

Also, the Commandant, Nigeria Navy College of Accounting and Finance, Navy Captain Osuolale Eyitayo, thanked Governor Alex Otti for his support to the college and the combined security team in the state, which had made their job easier.

Responding, Governor Otti said security remained a top priority of his administration’s agenda and pledged to sustain the tempo.

He revealed that in the last ten months, all security outfits in the state had been working tirelessly to ensure adequate security, noting that his government had set up an inter agency outfit, Operation Crush, to ensure maximum security in the state.

Governor Otti, however, appealed to the Flag Officer for support in terms of more personnel for the state to enhance security.
