ZAMFARA ASSEMBLY ADVOCATES FOR MILITARY BASE IN TSAFE TO ADDRESS BANDITRY                                                                                                                                     24-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              Zamfara State House of Assembly has called on State government to liase with Federal Government, and other relevant authorities to station a permanente military base in Tsafe local government area to address the current security challenges.

This followed a request by the house majority leader, and member representing Tsafe east constituency, Bello Mazawaje and seconded by the minority leader Aliyu Ango Kagara representing Mafara South Constituency.

Shedding more light on the Request, the majority leader of the house said if Military Base is stationed in the area it will help in Improving Security situation of the area.

He also explained that, bandits in the area are using different tactics to launch attack, citing example with the recent attack where they dress like females and lunch attack to the people in area.

According to him, the Present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal is doing its best to ensure the issue of banditry activities have become thing of the past.

In their Contributions, Members representing Birnin Magaji, Anka, Mafara South, Maru South, Gusau II, and Bukkuyum South, they described Security Situation in Tsafe local government area as worry some, and called on the relevant security agencies to assist in ending the Problems in all parts of the State.

Later, the Deputy Speaker, of the house, Adamu Aliyu Gummi who Chaired the Sitting, called on state government to liase with Federal government, and relevant security agencies to stationed permanent military base in most Strategic Position in Tsafe Local government area.
