FUEL SCARCITY HEIGHTENS IN ZAMFARA STATE                                                                                                                                          30-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The current fuel scarcity being experienced in parts of the country has heightened in zamfara state.
Investigation revealed that the situation which started last week has continued up to today unabated with more filling station under lock and keys.
The few fuel stations have the commodity there’s large qeues of vehicles and disorderliness thereby forcing motorist spending long hours on the qeue.
On the price of the fuel, the few fuel stations that sell the commodity are selling it at about one thousand naira per liter and above.

This has crippled transport activities as most motorist abandoned their vehicle’s while passengers were seen trekking.
Most passengers who spoke to Africa 247 correspondent in Gusau expressed concern that the situation is biting hard on them.

They also appealed to the authorities concerned to address the situation for their socio economic development.
They however express the hope with the commitments being exhibited by the government and the Nigerian national petroleum company the problem will be overcome soon.
