9,000 PERSONS BENEFITS 2024 FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN KWARA STATE                                                                                30-05-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   Kwara state government says about nine thousand people have been earmarked to benefit in its 2024 annual free medico-surgical outreach across the 16 local government areas of the state.

The state commissioner for health Dr. Amina El-Imam, stated this while speaking with Newsmen in Ilorin.

According to her a total number of 7,500 people benefitted in the free medico-surgical outreach last year.

She said the first stop will be Kwara state University Teaching Hospital ( KWASUTH) in Ilorin West Local Government Area on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

The commissioner, said that the initiative is aimed to bring vital medical services to doorstep of the least privileged members of the society.

Dr. El-Imam, explained that the medical treatments would include eye surgeries, hernia surgeries among others.

She urged residents of the state to avail themselves the opportunity, noting that the team of healthcare professionals will provide compassionate care and support to them.
