KEBBI NLC TO INVITE THE LEADERSHIP OF PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE STRIKE ACTION                                                                              03-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Kebbi State, says, it will invite the Chairmen of private institutions for not complying with the strike action that would be of benefit to all Nigerians.

The Vice Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Kilani Abdulwaliyu, who made this known while briefing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, said that, the Labour Union has in its State Executive Council meeting this morning resolved to invite the leadership of the private institutions for discussion.

According to him, after the meeting with the leadership of the private institutions, NLC will enforced a total compliance as directed by the national body of the union.

He said, the strike action was a success as there is a total complience from the Civil servants which all government offices were closed down and electricity supply was also cut off.

Comrade Abdulwaliyu, solicited for the support of the media saying, they are also part of the strike action to ensure a wider publicity for the world to know what the Nigerian citizens are going through.

Africa 247 Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi, who went round to monitor the strike action, reports that, there was a total complience from civil servants as government offices both state and the federal were seen locked and workers have returned back home and as well government schools.
