GOVERNOR YUSUF FLAGS OFF 70KM ROAD NETWORKS IN 10 RURAL COMMUNITIES                                                                              06-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration in providing befiting infrastructure accross the 44 Local government areas of the state.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf disclosed this during the flagging off a 70km road network project across 10 rural communities in the state’s three senatorial districts,which took place at Rijiyar Gwangwan and Mil Goma, Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, with a total of 14.7km of roads allocated to the two locations.

He said the project, executed in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Lives & Livelihood Fund (LLF), aims to improve rural access and road networks in semi-urban areas.

The Governor said the project is valued at over N11 billion, with N2.6 billion earmarked for the 7.2km Mil Goma to Yankatsari rural access road and 7.5km Rijiyar Gwangwan road networks.

He urged the benefitting communities to make adequate Utilization of the facilities, stressing that anyone found Vandalising the facilities after completion will seriously be dealt with.

Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to executing life-changing infrastructural development projects in rural communities.
