KANO STATE POLICE COMMAND URGES RESIDENTS TO RESPECT BAN ON DURBAR ACTIVITIES DURING EID-EL-KABIR                                                                                      15-06-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Kano State Police Command has reiterated the ban on durbar activities during the forthcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations, emphasizing the priority of public safety and security.

The Command commended the Kano State Government and traditional institutions for their support and cooperation in maintaining peace and order in the state.

The police warned that cultural troupes, costumes, weapons, and insignia representing durbar are not allowed, and adequate security deployments have been made to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

The joint security agencies vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone attempting to disrupt the peace, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.

The ban on durbar activities was resolved during the State Council Security Meeting chaired by the Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. The police urged the public to cooperate and respect the ban, wishing everyone a peaceful Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

Members of the public are hereby informed that joint security agencies will remain steadfast and resolute to maintaining of law and order in all parts of the State.

The police command also warned that the joint security agencies are committed to arresting whoever intends to disrupt the peace being enjoyed in the State as no stone will be left unturned in ensuring arrest and prosecution of any form of the society deviants.
