PRESIDENT TINUBU TASKS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO CREATE PLATFORMS FOR CITIZENS TO AIR THEIR CONCERNS                                                                                         03-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged the National Assembly to create Platforms where the citizens can air their concerns and actively participate in public hearings to enhance law making.
President Tinubu stated this at the National Assembly to mark the legislative Open Week organized by the House of Representatives
The President represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, reiterated the commitment of the Executive to working with other Arms of Government to achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Present administration.
He said citizens participation in governance process was key to achieving true democracy where the well-being of the citizens would be given the desired priority.
The President explained that his administration would continue to respect the principle of Check and Balance as enshrined in the Constitution.
The event was attended by members of Diplomatic Core, Law Makers both at the States and Federal levels, Ministers, governors and for law makers and presiding officers.
