FG IS COMMITTED TO LIFTING OVER 100M NIGERIANS OUT OF POVERTY AND BUILDING A TRILLION-DOLLAR ECONOMY 07-07-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Federal Government says it is committed to lifting over one hundred Million Nigerians out of poverty and building a trillion-dollar economy by the end of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration.
Minister of Housing and Urban Development Alhaji Ahmed Dangiwa stated this during the groundbreaking ceremony of the 250-unit Renewed Hope Housing Estate in Lafia Nasarawa State.
The 250-unit Renewed Hope Housing Estate which is situated in the Azuba community near Lafia the Nasarawa State capital is part of President Bola Tinubu’s administration initiative to address the challenges of the housing deficit across the country.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development Mr Ahmed Dangiwa explained that the programme was designed to unlock the massive potential of housing development to create jobs, uplift lives, and boost economic growth.
He stated that so far, twelve states have been covered in the ongoing first phase of the groundbreaking for the Renewed Hope housing estates to stimulate inclusive growth in all parts of the country in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
The minister called on the developers to adhere strictly to the job specification and ensure timely completion of the work as according to him the President Bola Tinubu government had no place for uncomplicated projects.
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule while performing the groundbreaking noted that the state government would continue to provide every necessary support to the initiative to improve the living conditions of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the developers of the project, Mr Danmallam Sani remarked that they would not relent in delivering quality jobs.
Managing Director Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Alhaji Shehu Osidi pointed out that over one hundred billion Naira off-takers guarantee have been provided for the development and construction of over three thousand one hundred housing units as part of the project.
The paramount traditional ruler of the area, the Sangarin Shabu Alhaji Mahmud Bwala said that the housing project would go a long way in raising the economic status of the immediate community.
