KEBBI STATE PDP TAKES STAND, RESOLVED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMING AUGUST LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ELECTION                                                                                                         15-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, has resolved to participate in the forthcoming local governments election come August 31st 2024.

The State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo, who stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after a stakeholders meeting of the party, said the party would participate fully in the coming election and has assured to fullfil all requirements needed by the State Independent Electoral Commission with regard to the candidates of both Chaiman and Councilors.

He said, the meeting also resolved to call on the State Independent Electoral Commission to conduct free and fair election by declaring any party that worn a seat, security agencies to also give equall protection to members of every political party and the judiciary to be fair in its judgement with regards to petition by any party after election to the election tribunal.

He announced that, Senator Adamu Aleiro and Senator Yahaya Abdullahi are still members of the PDP following a rumor lingering that, they will decamp to All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, the meeting resolved that, henceforth all members of the National and State Assemblies under the PDP would be briefing their constituency on the constituency projects they executed every six month at a townhall meeting.

The meeting was attended by the 3 Senators, 4 House of Representatives members, 11 House of Assembly members, party executives at the wards, local governments and state level and as well 2023 Gubanatorial Candidate of the party, Rtd. General Aminu Bande.
