SENATOR BARAU FLAGS-OFF DISTRIBUTION OF 69 TRUCKS OF FERTILIZER TO KANO FARMERS                                                                                                                                          17-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has commenced the distribution of 69 trucks of fertilizer to farmers across the 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kano State.

The exercise, which flagged off in Danbatta and Makoda LGAs, aims to support local farmers, improve agriculture, and contribute to food security in the country.

The distribution, which includes 41,400 bags of fertilizer, was handed over to the people of Danbatta and Makoda LGAs, with assurances to use the fertilizer judiciously to enhance their output.

The gesture was described as the first of its kind in the history of Kano North, with Senator Barau’s Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallahi, urging farmers to utilize the fertilizer effectively.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, commending Senator Barau for his interventions in Kano North and the state, describing him as a leader who caters to the needs of his people.

The distribution exercise is expected to continue until all 44 LGAs receive their allocated fertilizer.
