NANS NIGER STATE CHAPTER BACKS OUT OF PLANNED NATIONWIDE PROTEST                                                                                         26-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    Niger state chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Joint Campus Council, have disassociated themselve from the planned nationwide protest slated for August first to the tenth.

Chairman, Niger Axis of NANS, Comrade Salihu Yusuf stated this while addressing Newsmen in Minna, stressing that they have backed out from the planned protest in rhe interest of prace and development..

According to him, ” we categorically and unequivocally distanced ourselves and the entire students community in Niger state from the planned protest instead prefer dualogue in resolving differences.”

Comrade Salihu Yusuf applauded the achievements of the Niger state governor, Mohammed Umar Bago in the areas of infrastructural development, security, agriculture, health And education especially scholarship scheme for students among others.

He however alleged that there is a plan by hoodlums to create disunity during the protest to loot and destroy property of Nigerians hence the need for them to disassociate themselve from the planned protest.

With this development both the Niger state Students and youths have unanimously resolved not ro partake in rhe planned nationwide protest.
