MAJOR GENERAL MIJINYAWA TAKES OVER AS THE NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 81 DIVISION OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY, LAGOS.                                                                     24-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                Major General Farouk Umar Mijinyawa has taken over as the new General Officer Commanding the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Lagos.

General Mijinyawa took over from Major General Mohammed Usman who was re-assigned as Director of Research and
development Army Headquarters Department of Army Transformation and innovation .

The outgoing officer, Major General Mohammed Usman while handing over the command, thanked God for the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
General Usman expressed appreciation for the support of the officers and men of the Division which he said was responsible for his success, urging them to remain committed, loyal and take the Nigerian Army to the highest level.

General Usman called on them to extend to his successor the same level of cooperation for the progress of the Division.

The new General Officer Commanding the 81 Division, Major General Farouk Umar Mijinyawa formerly the Deputy Chief of Policy and Plans Army Headquarters Department of Army Policy and Plans promised to continue from where his predecessor stopped, to take the Division to a greater height.

The event was witnessed by some Senior officers from various units and commands of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army.
