PAY NEW MINIMUM WAGE, TUC URGES STATE GOVERNORS                                                                                                                                    25-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The President of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Festus Osifo has called on the state governors to implement the N70,000 new National Minimum Wage.

He made the call at a News Conference in Abuja.

Comrade Osifo urged the governors to improve the well being of their workers by paying the New Minimum Wage.

On Dangote Refinery, The TUC President said Refinery would generate massive jobs for the unemployed youths.

He called on the federal government to address the challenges hindering the full operation of the refinery in the interest of Nigerians.

Comrade Osifo called for the removal of import duties on manufacturing inputs to boost the economy and attract investment.
