ONE KILLED AS HOODLUMS HIJACKED THE HUNGER PROTEST IN YAURI, KEBBI STATE                                                                          01-08-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               One person has been killed by a stray bullet fired neither by security operatives nor hoodlums during the nationwide hunger protest in Yauri Town of Yauri local government area of Kebbi State.

Africa247 Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi, reports that, youth in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital and Yauri town took the streets to protest “End Bad Governance” chanting slogan “Mungaji da mulkin zalumci” we are tired of unfaithful rule.

He reports that, the protest in the state capital went peacefully with security being beefed off at strategic places but in Yauri was violent.

Africa 247 correspondent also report that, in Yauri town that one person killed, an eye witness told Africa 247 that, the victim was not among the protesters saying, the man was in his shop bullet hit him and he died at the hospital.

Similarly, the eye witness also said hoodlums that hijacked the peaceful protest went to Yauri market and start looting shops but security agencies dispased the protesters.
