A 24 HOUR CURFEW IMPOSED ON KATAGUM LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF BAUCHI STATE 05-08-24
By Sadiq Aminu Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State has imposed a 24 hour curfew on Katagum local government area with immediate effect.
In a statement the Secretary to the state government Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim said the decision followed deteriorating security situation in Azare the local government headquarters and its environ.
The statement explains that the protest in the area has been hijacked that led to wanton destruction of public property, vandalism and stealing.
According to the statement the Governor has directed security agents to wade into the matter and ensure that the hoodlums are fished out and brought to book.
It calls on the law abiding citizens to cooperate with the security agencies at the trying period.
