KANO POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, ARMED ROBBERS, CAR THIEVES, OTHERS 12-08-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Kano Police Command says it has apprehended suspected Kidnappers ,armed robbers ,car thieves ,human traffickers among others .
The Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo Garba disclosed this while addressing journalist at the police headquarters Bompai Kano.
He said 873 suspects were arrested, including 600 for various offenses, 150 for curfew violation, and 76 linked to masterminding destruction and looting.
CP Salman Dogo Garba noted that two AK-47 rifles were recovered, with substantial properties, and 47 live ammunition.
“Proactive policing strategies and community engagement have led to significant successes, Arrest of two suspected kidnappers, five suspected armed robbers, eight suspected car thieves, and two human trafficking suspects.”
He maintained that the police were able to Arrest armed robbery suspect and recovery of motor vehicle.
CP Salman Dogo Garba noted that car theft syndicate were apprehended and recovery of motor vehicle robbed at gunpoint.
The CP Added that the police were able to Arrest a notorious drug dealer and recovered lots of Exol tablets.
He urge the general public to accord all the necessary support to the command with a view to addressing security challenges in the state.
