By Sadiq Aminu                                             Stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC ) in Kwara South senatorial district have mapped out strategies to win the forthcoming local government elections in the State.

At a strategic meeting held in Oko town, Irepodun local government area, the party leaders vowed to approach the election with all the seriousness it deserves.

The convener of the meeting and founder Kwara State Development Initiative (KSDI), Dr. Johnson Adewumi, said the heart of the discussions and decisions by the stakeholders was the desire to undertake issues-based campaign.

Dr. Adewumi, urged the prospective council chairmen to domesticate and localise the governor’s infrastructural development.

He also advised the local governments leaders to perform well to ensure real development in the rural communities.

In his remark a chieftain of APC and former commissioner in Kwara state, Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin, urged the council chairmen when elected to “make the people’s welfare and rural development, the cornerstone of their administrations.
