OFFA COMMUNITY CALL FOR SPEEDY EXECUTION OF JUDGEMENTS ON FIVE CONVICTS                                                                                                                                       03-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The People of Offa have appealed to Kwara state government to expidite action on the execution of the recent judgement delivered by the state high court over the April 5th ,2018 Offa- banks robbery.

They also asked the state police command to thouroughly investigate all the names mentioned by the convicted persons during the cause of their trial to ascertain their levels of involvement in the robbery incidents .

Addressing journalists in Offa, the Chairman home branch of the Offa Descendants Union (ODU), Chief Tajudeen Shittu said the investigation would correct the impression of the community that certain highly placed individuals are being covered up.

According to him the community welcomed the judgement of the judiciary on the matter.

Chief Shittu explained that the community will never relent to pursue any attempt made by evil doers and ensure that full justice is achieved on those convicted.

He noted that investigations should be extended to the people alleged to have supplied the vehicle used for the robbery and other logistics.
