MUSLIMS WORLD LEAGUE DISBURSED OVER TWO POINT ONE BILLION NAIRA TO OVER TWO THOUSAND ORPHANS IN KEBBI STATE 10-10-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Muslims World League, has disbursed over two point one billion naira to over two thousand Orphans in Kebbi State to pursue their education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Acting Director General of the Organization in Nigeria, Al-Amin Ahmed Hamza, said the league has been rendering humanitarian assistance to Nigeria and particularly to Orphans.
He stated that, out of the seven point six billion naira earmarked for some selected states in Nigeria, Kebbi State has the largest share with two point one billion naira because it has the highest number of Orphans among the selected states.
According to the Acting Director General, the beneficiaries would receive from 400 thousand to over one million Naira and will be monitored to ensure judicious utilization.
Ahmed Hamza, however called on wealthy individuals to emulate the Muslims World League by providing support to Orphans and the less privileged ones in the country.
The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, commended the Muslims World League for providing humanitarian assistance to Orphans in the state particularly in the education sector.
He therefore called on the guadiance of the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of the funds in the education of the children better their livelihood.
One of the beneficiaries, Hassana Yahaya, thanked the Organisation for providing funds to assist them in pursuing their education.
