MINISTER OF STATE PETROLEUM RESOURCES (Oil) SAYS THE FPSO FACILITY IN LAGOS WILL TRANSFORM NIGERIA’S OIL SECTOR 11-10-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil). Senator Heineken Lokpobiri says the groundbreaking Floating Production Storage and Offloading ( FPSO) facility in Lagos is set to transform Nigeria’s Oil Sector for more efficiency.
The Minister made this known during an inspection visit to the project site in Lagos, a joint venture between NNPC LIMITED and two other Private organizations. Century Nigeria Limited, said the initiative would increase Crude oil production by 40.000 barrels per Day (bpd), Significantly contributing to the Nation’s, economy.
In a statement by the special Assistant media and communication to Minister of State Petroleum Resources( Oil ) Nneamaka Okafor, Senator Lokpobiri expresses satisfaction with the level of work going on at the project site, reaffirmed Government’s readiness to support similar initiatives aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s Oil production Capacity.
“The FPSO Project was one of the measures the Minister’s engagement with NNPC LIMITED,in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to increased crude production.”
Speaking on behalf of the private organization , a Group Chairman Mr, Ken Edward Etete confirmed that the project was on track for completion by the first quarter of next year.
“Mr, Etete provided insights on the progress and upcoming milestones for the project, noting that the FPSO Facility would not only enhance operational efficiency but also position the facility as a key contributor to Nigeria’s energy Sector”
The FPSO project demonstrated the power of partnership in the Oil and Gas Sector, promising a significant impact on Nigeria’s Economy and global energy positioning.
