By Sadiq Aminu                                                                Two Suspects Abubakar Ibrahim and Isah Ayuba of Shember village in Agwatashi, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa state have been arrested by the Police for allegedly Abducting and killing one Felicia Namkywa, a petty trader.

A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Ramhan Nansel says the arrest of the two suspects followed a complaint lodged at Obi Divisional Police Headquarters that the trader had been missing for days and all efforts to trace her whereabouts proved abortive.

The statement asserts that preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was lured through a phone call by one of the suspect, Abubakar Ibrahim who was owing her the sum of Forty Thousand Naira asking her to come and purchase grains in one of the Fulani settlements also known as Ruga in the area.

Unknown to her however, a sinister plan had been hatched to take her life and dispossess her of her business capital.

According to the statement, the suspects upon interrogation confessed to have strangled the victim and taken away the sum of five hundred and fifty-five thousand Naira that was found on her.

The statement further explains that the suspects afterwards led police operatives to the scene where the decayed remains of the victim were recovered.

The commissioner of police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department CID to hasten the investigation and charge the suspects to court.
