DEATH TOLL FROM THE RECENT PETROL TANKER EXPLOSION IN MAJIA TOWN IN JIGAWA STATE HAS RISEN TO 181                                                                                            22-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  80 of the victims that have so far survived the explosion are still receiving treatment for the various degrees of injuries sustained.

The Governor, who said he was at the State House to follow up on President Tinubu’s pledge of intervention, told newsmen that the explosion had affected 210 families.

On whether the State Government is planning to press charges for negligence, the Governor said findings and recommendations of the committee set up to investigate the incident would determine the Government’s action.

The explosion in question occurred on the 15th of October when people were scooping petrol from a Lagos-Yobe-bound tanker, laden with the commodity, which fell on its side.
