HELICOPTER ENGAGED BY THE NNPCL CRASHES                                                                                                                                        25-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Three bodies have been recovered from a helicopter engaged by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company limited, which crashed Wednesday Morning.

Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye in a statement said the helicopter took off at about 11:22am, from Port Harcourt NAF Base en route the FPSO – NUIMS ANTAN but lost contact.

The statement explains that The Helicopter with Registered Number: 5NBQG, was engaged by NNPC Limited, operated by East Winds Aviation had eight 8 persons on board (6 passengers and 2 crew members).

The statement says a Search and rescue mission is currently ongoing and commiserates with families who lost loved ones in the incident.
