WIFE OF THE PRESIDENT DISTRIBUTES 1,200 BAGS OF RICE TO RURAL WOMEN, VULNERABLES AND LESS PRIVILEGES IN ANAMBRA STATE 26-10-24
By Sadiq Aminu The wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed 1,200 bags of rice to rural women, the vulnerable and less privileged individuals in Anambra State to cushion the effects of economic hardship being experienced by the people.
The first lady who was represented by the Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, distributed the largess under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), programme of the Federal Government.
According to her, the administration of President Tinubu recognises the effects of the current situation on Nigerians hence the initiative aimed at providing relief to those adversely affected by the current economic hardship.
She therefore urged Nigerians to continue to support and pray for the government as it strives to make life better for all.
Mrs Soludo who performed the function in Awka alongside members of her pet project ,” the Healthy Living Initiative, also organised free comprehensive medical checks and cancer screening for the women.
The beneficiaries use the opportunity to ascertain their HIV status, blood pressure, blood sugar level and Body Mass Index as well as cervical and breast cancer screening.
The wife of the Governor urged women to go for routine medical checks to prevent health complications or deaths as health is the greatest wealth one can have.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Adanna Akaora from Oyi Local Government Area of the state expressed gratitude to the initiators of the programme saying that the palliative would go a long way to ameliorate the current hardship experienced by her household.
